Ara

The cloud management plane for the whole POTS IN A BOX® fleet — the reason a line fault becomes a ticket you close from a browser instead of a truck roll.

  • Fleet-wide remote access
  • Line-status alerts
  • No-reboot config changes
  • RESTful API
01 — Capabilities

What Ara does.

The expensive part of an analog line was never the line. It was the truck. Ara removes the diagnostic visit from the equation: line state, configuration, firmware and logs are all reachable remotely, so most faults are identified — and often resolved — before anyone is dispatched.

Best fitMulti-site fleets where a truck roll costs more than the line does.

02 — Operations

Zero truck rolls for diagnostics.

Every capability below removes a reason to send someone to the site. That is the entire commercial argument for managing a fleet this way, and it is what makes our managed support offer economic across multi-site portfolios.

  • 01

    Remote device access

Reach any deployed unit in real time — no site visit, no on-site technician.

  • 02

    Reboot and firmware

Remote reboot and firmware upgrade across the fleet or a single endpoint.

  • 03

    Parameter control

Get and set parameters, upload or download configuration, factory reset.

  • 04

    Line-status monitoring

Per-line status with alerts and live push notifications when a line changes state.

  • 05

    No-reboot configuration

Configuration changes apply without restarting the device, so a fire panel never loses its path.

  • 06

    Syslog retrieval

Pull device syslogs remotely for diagnostics and incident review.

  • 07

    RESTful API

Provisioning, billing and OSS/BSS integration against a documented API.

  • 08

    Role-based access

RBAC, end-to-end encryption and SSO across the management plane.

03 — Certifications

What we will not claim.

A missing certification is a fact worth publishing. Here is exactly where this product stands.

Ara is a management platform, not a signalling path. It does not carry alarm or 911 traffic and holds no equipment certification of its own — the certifications that matter for a life-safety installation belong to the hardware and to the network carrying the call.

Network layer

The device credentials above cover the equipment. The service obligations — E911 address association and dispatchable location, 911-call notification to designated contacts, and Kari’s Law and RAY BAUM’S Act support — are met on the MIX Networks voice network that carries the line. See how the three layers fit together.
