  • It cannot get an answer wrong, because it does not attempt one.

Ask these before any demonstration, because the answers reveal the architecture rather than the personality:

  1. What is it connected to? A calendar, a dispatch system, a CRM, and a ticketing queue are the difference between answering a call and resolving it.
  2. What does the handoff look like? A warm transfer with a summary, or a message dropped into somebody's inbox overnight?
  3. What happens when it does not know? A defined escalation path, or silence and a dial tone.
  4. What is captured from every call? A transcript and structured fields, or a recording nobody will ever replay.
  5. How are recordings handled? Ask the vendor to describe their consent and retention practice for your jurisdiction in writing, and get it before go-live rather than after.
  6. Can I hear a call it resolved? Not the scripted demonstration — a real one, end to end, with the handoff included.
